just wanna share dis, guys.
interesting question, answer by profesional photographer. (source;question of the week, shortlist megzn.) Very Happy

Q: My subjects always seem to be pale and washed out when I photograph them in low-light conditions. What can I do?

A: This 'ghost' effect is caused by the camera's flash overcompensating for the dark background. You should experiment with different exposure levels; overexposing can balance out the overall shade of the image, and can lead to some interesting effects if used creatively.

2. senang delete kalau nda lawa.

Contohnya, ambil gambar matahari terbenam.

Aku pernah try pakai expired punya filem, tapi nda jadi, pasal kamera ku leak.

Kamera digital - dial P atau Auto, kasi naik level ISO pakai button, shoot RAW. Balik rumah, edit pakai Photoshop.

Murah rezeki diorang, first purchase sudah beli flash gun, 50mm, etc - tapi bila basic photography nda pass, susah la mau berjaya. Aku mau tekankan, aku nda jeles, tapi kalau ilmu belum cukup d dada, aku rasa nda payah la besar diri sangat - konon tahu itu ini.

Rata2 perception budak2 zaman sekarang ni, makin hebat review kamera tu, makin hebat la kemampuan kamera tu. Memang betul, tapi selama ni aku pegang satu perkara ja

"Bukan kamera yang jadi ukuran, tapi orang yang pegang kamera tu patut dijadikan ukuran"

Sekian terima kasih.

GO OUT AND PLAY!

Penggunaan rule of third + culture diorang betul2 power

Street photography? Liat clip ni

*nda kira la Canon ka, Nikon ka, Sony ka - mesejnya tetap sma - GO OUT AND PLAY! Mr. Green

Often asked: what else aperture can do? (selain dr DOF/blurred the outfocus).

Aperture also can starshaped the sun (matahari jd bentuk mcm bintang).
Then, how to do it? Aku baru ja discover benda ni & mo share d sini. kalau ada yg suda tau, anggap saja ni review atau cuma aku punya “satu sen” experienced. Very Happy

Slalu org ckp "JANGAN" bila mo ambil gambar/ tala lens terus ke matahari, but i honestly really like the effect of taking such images, creating the silhouette and creating a very drastic contrast antara ground & sky. Some flare was great though. It looks more natural for me.

Gambar ni ambil dgn aperture; F/5.6. matahari nmpak bulat ckit, came out like a round ball, rather dull, mcm imej d bwh ni:

Gambar ni pula ambil dgn aperture; F/22. Matahari Nampak lg menarik, jadi mcm star shape, which added a lot to the feeling of the image mcm di bwh ni:

Tambahan: bukan matahari sj bulih jd star, tp lain2 cahaya pun bulih jua, ie. Lampu jln waktu mlm..etc. Teknik guna aperture kecil/narrow aperture utk dptkan star shaped highlight really great utk night shot of cities.

* f/22 is actually a small aperture and f/5.6 is a large aperture, because they're expressed as fractions and 1/22 is smaller than 1/5. Just for future reference. Smile

Note: Shooting towards the sun damage the lens? Not really, because when shoting towards the sun the camera will automaticly adjust its shutter speed to something really fast because there is so much light, so that shouldnt be a problem, but placing it on manual and going on bulb mode for like 2min isnt a good idea that might burn the sensor. Just don't leave the camera pointed at the sun too long. Even though the shutter is closed, the light still enters the lens and is being focused inside the camera. It could do some damage. As long as your not exposing it over a longer period over time (loooong shutter speeds) you will be on the safe side. Using shutters of at least 1/200 , should be no problem. hav a try, u'll hav a fun. cheers! Very Happy

Adyer : sama2. Wink

Kalau kau pakai M, nada effect tu sama shutter speed.

mmg setiap adjustment Aperture akan effect Shutter speed. sm la jua dgn ISO. setiap satu ni berkait.( ingat blk Exposure Triangle) Very Happy . cuma ISO kita bulih set sendiri. means, kalo pakai A, kamera akan auto select S, atau kalo pilih mode S, kamera akan auto select A, while ISO kita bulih ubah. ani t'pulang sama kita mo effectnya mcmn jua. mcm atu jua dgn WB(white balance), ni semua b'kait sm exposure.

kecuali ko dlm mode M(manual), yg mcm c sr bgtau atu. semua bulih adjust sendiri.

lg satu, kalo mo buat star shaped effect atu, pastikan ko set AF-L(Auto Focus Lock), jd nda perlu ambil masa panjang time tala lens ke matahari, bulih tarus katik shutter button. safe la ni. keselamatan lens sensor. Very Happy

cheers.

hahaha. jangan buka shutter blade lama2 eh. hangus karang sensor. Mr. Green

awuu, banar tu. sbb atu la mo set AF-L. jd kita bulih set aperture > focus mana2 dulu > lock focus > tala matahari & press shutter button.
kalo shoting time mlm, nda apa2, tapi kena pakai tripod la, sbb long shutter speed(kekurangan cahaya/low light pada waktu mlm), t'utama skali kalau mau shot panorama city d waktu mlm.

selain dr guna small aperture, bulih jua guna star filter.( 4 point, 8 point star filter). tapi effectnya b'beza dgn guna small aperture.( gmbr jd lebih bright, kurang sillhouette & more consistent), dan cahaya tu yg jd 4 buting star atau 8 buting star.
contoh photo (ani guna 8 point star filter)

ani lagi contoh guna small aperture. (kan bg semangat Very Happy ).

this beautiful photo by photographer: Hoang Nguyen. (http://hoangmnguyen.blogspot.com/)

*just imagine shot bandar labuan/dataran time malam, at small/narrow aperture, lampu jd bintang2. heh...sure lawa punya.
try it and dun 4get to share ur photo & experience here guys. Very Happy
hav a good shot. cheers.

just another simple question of the week from shortlist magzn. sama2 lah kita share. Very Happy

Q: What can I do to make portraits more interesting?

A: Whether it's your holiday snaps or a family gathering, there's nothing more boring than getting people to just stand in a line and be photographed. Try taking pictures when people aren't looking or expecting it - it will turn out much more natural than a stilted pose and cheesy grin, and will represent them in a much truer light.

what do u think guys? any additional info / pandangan?

happy shoting! Very Happy
