When you are in a companionship, it is better to give priority to your partner. I am not saying that one should abandon his whole social life and become a house slave; but only that you should wisely distribute your time. Women often complain that the husbands do not give them enough time after a few years pass. I think maybe the magic of intimate love has dimmed a little by then and so they tend to get involved in the social life after a few years. This attitude is not fair to women (or to whomever you may have as a partner). The best way to go about this to avoid making an issue of it later, is to decide earlier about the days when both the partners would hang out with friends or plan a separate entertainment. It has worked out for us, hope it works for you too!
