[b]DANGER BOX JELLY FISH[/b]
I spotted a large Box Jelly Fish (And please don't tell me that I was mistaken) hunting (Yes they actively hunt and get up to 1.8 knots) small fish, in the outside marina, last Sunday. I have never seen them so far north. I watched it catch two fish and I took a couple of photographs. I know that there are several types, all sting and some can be fatal. I will leave you to "Google" and discover more. It may be just an odd one on it's summer vacation, maybe read the "Yachty brochures" that Labuan has little to offer other than duty free shopping..... How little they know!
Anyway, do your homework re the creature and keep an eye open. I would be interested to hear if any more are spotted.[/b] |
