What makes a LOC senior?
Just a question for the admins. I'm interested to know what the criteria is for the descriptions against each members name. ie. some are listed as Admin which is obvious and then there is "Newbie", "just started" & "LOC Senior". Does senior have anything to do with age or length of time as a member or the number of posts you have made. I'm not complaining, BUT, as a member since July 7th 2003 and being 58yo I think I qualify in more than one area yet I am listed as "Just Started" By the way if you look at the picture at the top of this page with the group of people I am the good looking one 2nd from the right next to Alvin.

Admin decided to put the rating based on the post counts. The more you post, the more star you get. It's a common practice in forum world.

..... the trick is, Jeff, to answer everybody elses posts with an "I agree" then you'll very quickly become a five-star general ... and a wise old LOC Senior !

Hey Bernard! How are you? Haven't heard from you in ages> Where are you and what are you up to? I thought I was a senior but it appears I have to have an opinion on everything to become one in LOC LOL

..... well I got a lot of my points, Jeff, by talking about the 2006 Ashes cricket with druidy (we used to discuss all manner of subjects, such as global warming - amongst other things 8-) ... and she was the top contributor on LOC for quite a while - where is she now I wonder ?) and English Premier League football with people like Red Devil, and others, who we also don't see around any more .... but trusting that I'm not going "Off Topic" (cos I'm answering you post  ), I'm currently wandering around KK still looking for a place, but unfortunately that nasty word "security" keeps raising its ugly head and taking on more importance after being mugged by five men on a busy street in the Pudu quarter of KL recently, and being relieved of USD4,600 in travellers' cheques !

Dory Wrote:bernard, where are you these days?? ..... hi Dory ! nice to hear from you again I'm still wandering around here spending most of my time holed up in KL but keep taking time out to visit other places. Been to KK a couple of times, and also my favourite Changi Beach twice ... and also been up to Chiang Mai, and maybe again soon now that the weather is improving ! nearly got eaten alive by mosquitos in July/August when I was there during the rainy season :-(Also, when I was in Singapore I had lunch with Jecelyn (remember jcleo, LOC Admin ?) a few times ... but she got married a few weeks ago, and will be moving to Canada (!) soon. Maybe you would like to have her email !? I'm sure she would love to hear from you ... and to have a contact when she gets there ! maybe she could get a job with you in Seattle !!
