THE LABUAN MENTALITY
Has anyone seen the banners/poster tied along the road side advertising a "Certain" college in Sarawak?
I presume MPL gave permission for these, but doubt very much if anybody thought about the implications..... We have numerous good learning establishments situated around Labuan, Then why would anyone wish to empty the already struggling colleges, thus depleting the population and lowering the Labuan economy? Do we have any brains in these decission making offices? :roll: I dont see the Toyota workshop advertising Ford cars (it's the same thing) we need to promote Labuan to increase the population, not entice them to other pastures. |

this is true.. maybe mpl is making a long term plan to have labuan youth to be able to have other option to learn... and after these youth have finished their study to come back to labuan and serve the island.... but this is a double edge sword plan... excuse my broken english...

Nice observation Cree, and quite correct, but if our youth go off to study and then return to serve Labuan what will they do? hence the future youth has also left. and so it goes on. What we need is to create an infustructure here to enhance the economy of the island. :lol:
