Sharing on robbery experience
Dear Labuan fellows,

Last week I went downtown in the afternoon. While walking, a teenager approached me asking the direction to Labuan Matriculation. He claimed himself to be the next intake student for Labuan Matriculation. After a while, he further his conversation about his condition past 2 days. He was being robbed (suspected 2 Filipino) at Bazaar Ramadhan near Grand Dorsett location. At first, this 2 Filipino were asking for RM20 for fast breaking and they've claimed that they have insufficient money to buy food. So this teenager gave them the money but unfortunately one of the guy poke a knife at his back and threaten him if he resisted to give him his wallet and laptop. So, leaving him with no option, the teenager gave them his wallet and laptop. After that, the 2 Filipino ranaway. He couldn't obtain help on that time. He lodged a police report about the incident but after the report, the police can only advise him to go back. He was left 2 days in Labuan without any helping hands from the others. With no money, he had to sleep on the bench and keep on approaching the locals to just ask for money for his trasportation for him to go back to his hometown. As we know that many are aware of fraudulent especially from the stangers, nobody bother to help him. So when he approached to me in this kind of situation, I felt pity on this boy. I knew I should take the risk whether being cheated or viceversa if I help him. After having a deep thought to myself, I lend him some money as he assure me that he will pay me back when he comes to Labuan for another 2 weeks. It reminds me what if it happens the same thing to my other siblings if they were abroad. So, I decided to help him out of his situation and hope that he will reach his destination. We exchange numbers and until now I still can contact him to ask about his condition. As a human, we have to help those who are in deep trouble.

Where is his hometown?
Did he tried to contact his family? Or ask you whether can lend a phone to him to contact his family?
Why did he asked for Labuan matriculation when he wanted to go home?
He didn't have place to stay at Labuan? He went to Bazaar Ramadhan....surely that would mean he has place to stay here that day....

Sorry...too many questions.
